My daughter loves horses, so she was instantly mesmerized by the beautiful Bella Sara trading cards that we were sent to review. Since the game was introduced two years ago, it’s become the most successful trading card product for girls ever, selling more than 83 million cards to date! Bella Sara features horse-themed fantasy cards that inspire little girls with their positive, meaningful messages.
Earlier this month, Bella Sara expanded its line of trading cards with a ninth series – Royalty. This new series lets you experience the royal realms and majestic castles in the magical land of North of North. Sara is introduced for the first time on a card, and the collection features even more horses and more fun than before, for a total of 49 Bella Sara magical horse cards in the Royalty series.
This is our first experience playing with these cards, so I’m not sure how different Royalty is from previous series, but I do know that some changes have been made. Instead of 5 to 7 codes, as in previous packs, there is now only one Bella Sara Ticket Card in each card pack. This seems much more convenient.
In each pack you’ll receive a set of cards, including a special ticket in gold, silver, or copper, which grants the player a different level of access. Each ticket has a code that will unlock horses, horseshoes, castle rooms, items for your cottage, and prizes. Also including in the packs are stickers and temporary tattoos, which were both a big hit with my 4-year old!
More than 4.9 millions users enjoy the online world of Bella Sara, where you can find games, puzzles, coloring pages, storybooks, and even care for a virtual horse. Soon the new Bella Sara Ticket will allow players to access Bella Sara Adventures, a new online experience in which Bella Sara fans will go on adventures, be able to customize their character, and even ride their horse!
Signing up only takes a minute, and you can register even if you don’t have a Bella Sara code. You’ll get a cottage that you can customize, and can choose your first horse. I found the Bella Sara website very easy to navigate, though my daughter was a little frustrated because there was a lot of reading to be done, so this isn’t something she can play by herself. The games I played with her were a lot of fun, and the graphics are beautiful, but many of them are a little advanced for a preschooler, so we might just put the cards away for now and wait a few more months. I really liked the parental-controls feature which lets you manage your child’s account to turn off or limit her access.
Meant for kids ages 5 and up, the retail price of a pack of Bella Sara Royalty cards is $2.99, and you can find them at Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon, Bella Sara.com, Toys ‘R’ Us, Barnes & Noble, and at other bookstores and toy shops.
A big thank you to Team Mom for this review opportunity!
